Selection Process.

Player Eligibility.

Players must be born in Canada, hold a Canadian passport, and/or play at a Canadian high school or prep school program. Players must be registered at a high school institution and eligible to compete in their high school or prep school league. Players must be classified as seniors in their 4th or 5th year of high school.

Step 1 — Nominees.

Selection Committee Members meet weekly with the Selection Committee Chair to build a Nominees List containing all the names on the ballot for the first round of voting. The list is compiled onto a ballot and is sent to Committee Members. The full Nominees List will be announced publicly, with the anonymity of the person who nominated each player.

Step 2 — Top 50 Voting.

From the Nominees List, Committee Members submit whom they believe to be the Top 50 players, regardless of graduation class or position. Submissions are tabulated to create a list of 50 players with the highest initial votes. Note: all players tied for the 50th spot are included in the Top 50; therefore, this list may contain more than 50 players.

Step 3 — Top 36 Voting.

From the Top 50 List, Committee Members submit whom they believe to be the Top 36 players. Submissions are tabulated to create a list of 36 players that received the highest number of votes. Note: all players tied for the 36th spot are included in the Top 36; therefore, this list may contain more than 36 players.

Step 4 — Top 24 Voting.

The Top 36 List is then placed in the Top 24 Ballot and sent to Committee Members for the final vote. Votes are tabulated, and the 24 Player All Canadian Roster is created.

Tie Break Procedures.
